Trip Details

Kid’s Camp is right around the corner - beginning on Monday, July 6! Here are a few details to help you prepare for the trip.
Monday, July 6:
Be at the church parking lot with the flagpole by 10:00 am. Check in with Pastor Brent Way when you arrive. We will be collecting your child's money (see #10 below) and whatever medication and instructions your child will need while at camp. Please pack a lunch for your son or daughter. We will have a box where you may deposit your child's lunch. As soon as we get down to camp we will have the kids eat the lunch that you have packed. Bus will leave at 11:00 am promptly.
What to bring:

Bible, pen and paper. (Write your child’s name and church inside Bible)

Bathing suit – modest one piece and towel

Casual clothes (It can get hot during the day, but cool nights)

Jacket

Sleeping bag and pillow (They are sleeping inside the dorm rooms)

Personal items (soap, shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste, towel, etc.)

Flashlight with working batteries (please check…)

Insect repellent and sunscreen

Camera and film (optional) – if it is disposable, write their name on outside.

SPENDING MONEY for snack bar ($20.00 recommended). They can purchase a DVD of camps greatest moments for $5.00, as well. Place the money in an envelope and mark on the outside the child’s name and amount. We will collect each envelope from you or your child on Monday. The camp provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. They will sell drinks and snacks between those meals.
What NOT to bring: Radio, Walkman, I-Pod, Game boy, - ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES. Cell phones are okay, but remember that things can get easily misplaced!
Thursday, July 9:
The kids will be getting a sack lunch at camp which we will eat before we board the bus to return home. We plan to arrive back at church around 2:00 pm. If the time changes to a later time, we will leave a message with Connie at the front desk, 744-2233.
Please mark your kid’s name on their things, the camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
If you need to reach me for emergencies, my cell phone number is (510) 376-1779. We are staying at Bethany University, 800 Bethany Dr., Scotts Valley, close to Santa Cruz. If you can’t get a hold of me on my cell then call Bethany University at (831) 438-3800 and let them know you have a child at the Kids Camp on the campus; be patient with them, the campus is big!
